Mrs. Zellmer
Hello! My name is Rebecca (Suhr) Zellmer. I have the privilege here at St. John to teach two-year-old preschool two mornings a week and serve as the extended learning teacher. In the afternoon, I move to teaching grades 7 & 8 to give Mr. Cody release time to take care of principal duties.
I was born and raised on a farm north of Watertown, WI. I became a child of God through baptism at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown and continued through until 8th grade. After graduating from Northwestern Preparatory School, I continued my education at Dr. Martin Luther College and graduated in 1995. That summer I married my high school sweetheart, Erich Zellmer. We eventually moved to Beaver Dam, WI. God has blessed us with three daughters and one granddaughter. You can find our whole family in the summers on Beaver Dam Lake with the local ski team.
I have served as a 2nd grade teacher at Trinity-St. Luke's in Watertown from 1995-2002 and as PK4 teacher at Zion Columbus from 2009-2014. In 2016, I received a call to teach here at St. John's in Juneau.
Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things, through Christ who strengthens me." God has given us all different talents and abilities. I pray that I can help encourage my students and families to use their talents and abilities to the glory of God.
